Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power
Product Design:
Ideation, Process, and final renderings + animations of lord of The Rings: “Rings of Power” Product design.
Hilt:
I worked with multiple shapes and solids in order to model the hilt of the sword. I then added in loop cuts, grouped them, and then scaled out the cuts and shade smoothed them to create the rounded handle that connects into the guard.
Blade:
To create the blade of the dagger I began with a plane. I then added Loop cuts in order to create a groove as well as shape the style of blade.
Design:
I created the sword to have an elven aesthetic. I wanted to have a shorter blade with an aerodynamic shape that is 6-8 inches. The pommel and handle will be 4 1/2”. for an overall size of 11-12”. I shade smoothed and Subdivide the sword to create a sleek Appearance.
UV Mapping:
I adjusted my broken UV’s in blender Object edit to successfully communicate with the 2D texture and wrap around the 3D object.
Materials:
I then began to add materials to my sword. i worked with materials and textures on polyhaven and HRDI haven.
Final Dagger Product Animation:
This is the final product animation for my Dagger of Redwood created as a product launch for an Experinetial Event/campaign.
