Ideation, Process, and final renderings of lord of The Rings: “Rings of Power” Product design.

Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power

Product Design:

Band:

For the band of the ring I started off with a Bezier curve and then extruded it to create the band. I added loop cuts and a bevel to create more depth in the band.

Marquise/Backing:

To create the marquise gem and backing I duplicated the top vertices in order to create a casing for the stone. I then extruded the top and cut out the vertices in the back for light to be able to come through.

Prongs:

i created the prongs using the mesh tool. I then extruded and Subdivided the mesh in order to give it a smooth texture. I added a mirror modifier and flipped it on both axis to create four identical prongs.

Design:

I created the ring to resemble the original style of the Lord of The Rings: Ring of Narya. This ring was created with a teardrop shape and a sharp and elegant silhouette that is a universal and genderless style. The ring is maade out of high quality metals and precious stones.

Materials:

I began to add materials and textures to the ring through HDRI Haven and Polyhaven. I added scratches and a lead material to give the ring a hand forged look.

Final Ring Product Animation:

This is the final product animation for the ring of Narya created as a product launch for an Experiential event/campaign.
